James "Jay" Charles Dill, Jr. 65, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at his home in Kansas City. Services are pending and dates and times will be added when available.

Jay was born October 20, 1958 in Kansas City, MO, a son of James Charles and Shirley (VanGilder) Dill. He had lived in Buffalo, MO and Holden, MO before moving to Kansas City in 1991. Jay was a 1976 graduate of Holden, MO High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City. He was a Master Electrician, and a member of I.B.E.W.  Local #124 in Kansas City for 33 years before his retirement. Jay was a Baptist, and a member of Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge #446 in Kansas City, MO.

James was an adoring father and was so proud of his daughter being an RN. He was the best papa to his grandsons and he will be missed every day.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, James Charles Dill. He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Dill, Kansas City, MO; his mother, Shirley Dill, Peculiar, MO; a sister, Susan L. Dill, Kansas City, MO; and two grandchildren, Wolfe Thomas and John Louie.
