James Robert "Bob" Carlill, 78, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at his home in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Friends may call 7:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, at the chapel.

Bob was born October 21, 1930 in Jameson, MO, the son of Fred A. and Flora Blanche (Miller) Carlill. He married Georgia Jane Wilkinson on October 21, 1978. Bob had lived in Independence, MO before moving to Harrisonville in 1985. He worked as an inspector for Bendix/Allied Signal for 35 years before retiring in 1992. Bob was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Harrisonville and was a former deacon.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fred Carlill. He is survived by his wife, Jane, of the home; children, Nancy Jane Noorbakhsh of Kansas City, MO, Brenda Jean Noorbakhsh of Kansas City, MO, Cindy Moles, Harrisonville, MO, Teresa Irene Wickboldt of Wheeling, IL, Jim Carlill of Blue Springs, MO, Mary Ellen Howard of Windsor, CA, Steven Thomas Carlill of Independence, MO and Phyllis Anne Smith of Oak Grove, MO; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
