James Gilbert Borgman, 57, Harrisonville, MO, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008 with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Cremation. Jim was born January 16, 1951 in Independence, MO, the son of Gilbert Martin and Lola Maude (Graham) Borgman. He was a 1970 graduate of Blue Springs High School. Jim had lived in Blue Springs and Belton, MO before moving to Harrisonville in 2000.
Jim married Kelly A. Anderson on January 1, 2000, at the Grand River Baptist Church in Harrisonville. He was a farmer for 40 years and had worked as a heavy equipment operator. Jim was a former member of Teamsters Local #541.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Kelly, of the home; two sons, Dalton G. Borgman, Harrisonville, MO and James T. "Tad" Borgman and his wife, Stephanie, Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Tanara McDaniel and her husband, Cliff, Raymore, MO and Jamie Halbrook and her husband, Jay, Bolivar, MO; three sisters, Marcia Bettmann, Omaha, NE, Jean Shay, Blue Springs, MO and Doris Rayl, Vinita, OK and eight grandchildren.
