Jacqueline "Jackie" Carney, 87, Freeman, Missouri died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home in Freeman. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri.
Jackie was born May 10, 1929 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Monroe Dewey and Helen Mae (Kellogg) Almquist. She married Melvin Carney on May 26, 1969 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Jackie lived in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Freeman in 1984. She worked for Phoenix Aerospace in Kansas City for 18 years, retiring in 1994.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Connie Gerstner. She is survived by her husband, Mel, of the home; one son, Floyd Lee Hudnutt, Texas; 1 granddaughter, Sadie and 1 great-granddaughter, Kennedy.
