J. R. Nasalroad, 63, Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Friends may call from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. J. R. was born January 6, 1945 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Shelby and Mary Wilma (Knox) Nasalroad. He married Marilyn Elizabeth Hon on April 18, 1964.

J. R. was a 1962 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He moved to Harrisonville in 1966. He worked as an engineer for R&D Tool & Engineering in Lee's Summit, MO before retiring in 2007. He was a member of Antioch Southern Baptist Church. J. R. was the first Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 3 in Harrisonville.

J. R. was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of the home; one son, Michael Nasalroad, San Jose, CA; one daughter, Beth Mulvey and her husband, Tony, Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Kay Jean Oldham and her husband, Dean, Peculiar, MO and two grandchildren, Annie and Drew Mulvey.
