J. Millicent Gile Gaines, 95, of Harrisonville, MO died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her home. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisionville with burial at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Coldwater, (a non-profit organization), 501 NE Missouri Road, Lee's Summit, MO 64086.

Millicent was born April 12, 1916 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Edgar George and Hallie Pearl (Fleming) Stuber. She attended Center School in Kansas City, MO. She worked for Bendix in Kansas City for 30 years before retiring in 1982. Millicent had lived in Kansas City, MO and Peculiar, MO before moving to Harrisonville. She was married to Ira Gile, and later married Marion Gaines in 1984. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gene and Robert Gile, and one brother, George Stuber. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Pena and her husband, Harry, of Harrisonville, MO; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
