Ivan O. Beeman, 73, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 17 at the chapel. Ivan was born March 1, 1936 in Adrian, MO, the son of Ray and Ivan L. (Fink) Beeman. He was a graduate of Drexel High School. He lived in Drexel and Kansas City, MO before moving to Harrisonville in 1969.

Ivan married Rebekah "Becky" Taylor on March 12, 1955 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville and Cass Masonic Lodge No. 147 AF&AM, Harrisonville. He worked for Yellow Freight Systems for 29 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of Teamsters Local #41.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Becky, of the home; four sons, Ivan E. "Butch" Beeman and his wife, Delores, Harrisonville, MO, R. Keith Beeman and his wife, Lu Ann, Greeley, CO, Gary D. Beeman and his wife, Carla, Lee's Summit, MO and James D. Beeman and his wife, Lisa, Latour, MO; one brother, Raymond Irwin Beeman, Springfield, MO; two sisters, Leora Mary Brock, La Cygne, KS and Lila Marie Harris, Drexel, MO and seven grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Taylor, Katie, Megan, John and Tatum.
