Ina May VanSandt, 91, of Adrian, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Medicalodge of Butler in Butler, MO.  Funeral services were held  Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO.  Burial  in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian.

Ina was born June 24, 1930 in La Cygne, Kansas, the middle child of Howard and Clara (Nothstine) Hahn.  In 1938. Ina and her family moved to Missouri.  She attended school in rural Adrian and graduated from Adrian High School in May 1948.  After graduation, she went to work at the tie factory in Adrian while continuing to help her father on the family farm.  Following that she spent two and a half years working at Sears in Kansas City.

On May 26, 1950, Ina was united in marriage to Cassius Lorenzo "C.L." VanSandt at the Ohio Street United Methodist Church in Butler, MO.  In 1953, the couple moved to a farm west of Adrian where they raised three sons and enjoyed more than 50 years together until C.L.'s passing in 2000.  Ina continued to live on the family farm for the remainder of her life.

Ina was a member of the Adrian United Methodist Church and the Penny Savers Club.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors on the farm.  Her greatest joy was going camping with her grandchildren and cheering them on at countless football, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball games.

Ina was preceded in death by her husband, C.L., her son, Melvin Dale, her parents, Howard and Clara Hahn, her brother, Charles Hahn, and her sister, Mary Lou Cummings.

She is survived by her sons, Terry VanSandt and Ronnie (Janice) VanSandt of Adrian, Missouri; her grandchildren, Shawn (Crystal) VanSandt, Kristina VanSandt (Deana Gilmore), Logan VanSandt, and Tyler VanSandt (Hannah Kerr), and three great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Madison, and Gavin VanSandt, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
