Ila Maxine Downey, 78, Hermitage, MO, died Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. Funeral services 11:00 AM Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian, MO. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the chapel. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
Maxine was born October 10, 1929 in Amsterdam, MO, the daughter of Leland and Leta (Reynolds) Horton.
Maxine's joys in life were playing music, hunting and fishing and sitting out back, overlooking their pond, watching the fish and the deer.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Bob Downey, Hermitage, MO; one daughter, Linda L. Kearns, Hermitage, MO; two sons, Charles W. Downey and his wife, Linda, Budd Lake, NJ and Clifford L. Downey and his wife, Renee, Watson, MN; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
