Born on August 23, 1942, in Maryville, MO, Tim lived a life rich with experiences, stories, and love that will forever be cherished by his family and friends. Raised in Freeman, MO, Tim later spent time in Alexandria, Louisiana, before returning to Harrisonville, MO, which is where he called home until his passing. Tim was a "jack of all trades". His career as a truck driver with Dr. Pepper and, later in life at O'Reilly's, was not just a job; it was a testament to his work ethic and commitment to his family. He retired in 2005, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and resilience.
Tim was known as a true "Ford" enthusiast and loved sharing stories about his many adventures on the road. He had a passion for playing guitar, which brought joy not only to himself but also to those who were fortunate enough to hear him. He also had a passion for the Boy Scouts of America and took many trips to Camp Osceola. His love for fishing provided moments of peace and reflection, while his avid interest in reading opened worlds of knowledge and imagination. He had eclectic reading habits and two of his favorite authors were Louis L'amour and Jim Butcher. He passed his love of reading on to his children and grandchildren. Books were his favorite present to give and receive.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie "Sleepy" and Cecilia "Cedar" Stephenson; two daughters, Gracie Danielle Stephenson and Mary Francine Stephenson; and two sisters, Barbara Evans and Beverly Swearingen. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: Charrioty Rector, Faith Sherman, Hope Mason, Steven Stephenson, and Alexis Stephenson. Tim was also the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, a great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandfather to 1 great-great-grandson, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
