Holly Lynn Mitchell, 47, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Per her wishes, cremation will take place with services to be held at a later date.

Holly was born on August 17, 1979, in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of Ricky Lenn and Beverly (Stapleton) Mitchell. She spent her early years in Harrisonville and had lived in Sedalia for the last ten years. Holly was a caregiver and had worked in numerous group homes in the area.

Holly is survived by her father and step mother, Rick and Vicki Mitchell, Harrisonville, MO; her mother, Beverly Thurman, Boonville, MO; her fiancé, Shawn Attebury, Sedalia, MO; two brothers: Jeremy Covey, Benton, Arkansas; and Colby Covey, Eureka Springs, AR; two sisters: Heather Mitchell, Freeman, MO; and Hilary Covey, Harrisonville, MO; her nephew, Triston Mitchell, Kansas City, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
