Hazel Irene Feeback, 91, Belton, Missouri, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at The Rehabilitation Center of Raymore in Raymore, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice of Kansas City, 1001 East 101st Terrace, Suite 180, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Hazel was born October 12, 1921 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Richard Alva and Clara Lee (Downey) Foster. She was a 1940 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She grew up in Harrisonville and had lived in Belton and Grandview, Missouri until moving back to Harrisonville in 1976. She returned to Belton in 2003.
Hazel went to beauty school and owned and operated a beauty shop for several years on Main Street in Grandview, Missouri in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Hazel was a 50-year member of the Belton VFW Auxiliary and a member of the South Haven Baptist Church in Belton.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Geraldine Sperry and one sister, Elsie Scott. She is survived by two sons, E. J. Feeback and his wife, Kathy, Belton, Missouri and Russell Feeback and his wife, Kim, Drexel, Missouri; a niece, Carolyn Stewart, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
