Harry Ray England, 82, of Peculiar, Missouri, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Redwood of Raymore in Raymore, MO. He was born April 29, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Harry and Mable Emma (O'Neil) English.
Harry grew up in the Camdenton, Missouri area and was a 1955 graduate of Camdenton High School. He was united in marriage to Iris "Maxine" Shipman on November 24, 1956 at the Methodist Church in Linn Creek, MO. They made their home in Kansas City before moving to Peculiar in 1972. Harry was the Utility Supervisor for the City Of Peculiar for over thirty years before his retirement. He had been a member, and was the past chairman of the Missouri Wastewater Conference. He was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Belton, MO. Harry loved photography and was always taking pictures of family and friends.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Maxine, on October 31, 2017, and a granddaughter, Amanda Branson. He is survived by two sons, William (Susan) England, Peculiar, MO and Thomas England, Peculiar, MO; a daughter, Linda (Erick) Couts, Branson, MO; a sister, Betty Denny, Camdenton, MO; five grandchildren, Angela (David) Nims, Robert (Kimberly) Branson, Alyssa (Richard) Cook, William England II and Tyler (Santana) Couts; ten great-grandchildren, Philip, Michael (Stephanie), Christopher (Natalie), Alexander, Kally, Kaitlyn, Aiden, Evan, Brennan and Anthony; and four great-greatgrandchildren, Amora, Eli, Emma and Gabriel.
Memorial services were held on December 26, 2019 at the New Hope Christian Church in Belton, MO.
