Harry W. Eisel, 74 of Pleasant Hill, MO, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, MO. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 20 at the Chapel.

Harry was born September 15, 1933 in Harrisonville, MO, the son of Henry Harlan and Clara Ella (Norman) Eisel. He married Nancy Baker in 1958; she passed away on March 25, 1966. Harry then met and married Lorna F. Schumacher on June 8, 1968.

Harry worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in Harrisonville for 32 years before retiring in 1985. He worked hard to make a living for his family and especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether he admitted it or not.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Eisel of Harrisonville in 2005 and a son-in-law, Jim Cassidy in 2007. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Lorna Eisel, of the home; one son, Rick Eisel and Jamie, Belton, MO; daughters, Julie Cassidy Kingsville, MO, Cindy Rose and Kevin, Sweet Springs, MO, Sheri Friend and Ronnie, Garden City, MO and Sandy Jones and Steve, Garden City, MO. He also leaves 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers. Daddy, we will miss you. Honey, I will miss you and will see you again.
