Harold Andrew Beard, 84, Raymore, MO, was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 13, 2007 in Raymore, MO. Graveside services 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15 at the Double Branch Cemetery, Butler, MO. Contributions may be made to the Rehabilitation Center of Raymore, Alzheimer's Unit, 600 East Sunrise Drive, Raymore, MO 64083.

Harold was born October 27, 1922 in Rich Hill, MO, the son of Andy Jay and Margaret Ellen (Goodin) Beard. He married Roma Estelle Hudson on February 22, 1947 in Goodnight, TX.

Harold was a U.S. Navy veteran. He worked for the Civil Service for 25 years. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite in Paloduro, TX. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Harold loved his family and his God.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wilburn Beard and one sister, Nellie Jennings. He is survived by his wife, Roma, Belton, MO; one son, Andy Jay Beard and his wife, Linda, Belton, MO; one daughter, Fonda Lynne Burkart and her husband, Wally, Belton, MO; four grandchildren, Brandi Spangler and her husband, Chris, Raymore, MO, Bud Burkart and his wife, Lindsey, Raymore, MO, Annie Walter and her husband, Andrew, Belton, MO and Jessie Beard, Belton, MO and four great-grandchildren.
