H. Dale Hon, 77, Harrisonville, MO, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO.  A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, November 25 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice House or Integrity Hospice.

Dale was born November 22, 1939 in Pleasant Hill, MO, the son of William Harris and Ella Frances (Raffurty) Hon. He attended Prospect Rural School #88 from 1947-1953 and graduated from Harrisonville High School in 1957.

Dale started working in construction with his brother, Bob Hon, as the Hon Bros. Construction. He later started his own construction business, H. Dale Hon Construction. Dale built many homes in the Harrisonville and Cass County area. He developed and built Pickering Place senior housing in Belton, MO. Dale loved flying his airplane and boating on the Lake of the Ozarks.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Alice Whitsitt and Marian McKean. He is survived by his daughter, Deana Clo Hansen (Chris), Salt Lake City, UT; one son, Jonathan Nance Hon (Monica), Chicago, IL; five granddaughters, Ava, Clo, Bridget, Hillary, Heather; one grandson, Duncan; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rose; four brothers, Bill Hon (Bonnie), and Gene Hon, all of Harrisonville; Bob Hon (Charlotte), Richmond, TX, and Don Hon, San Diego, CA; three sisters, JoAnn Johnson (John R.), Marilyn Nasalroad, and Linda Limpus (Ron), all of Harrisonville, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
