Gracie Lee Mayer, 69, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Harrisonville Healthcare, LLC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Gracie Mayer Memorial Fund c/o Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian, Missouri.
Gracie was born April 23, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of J. E. and Ruby (Eubanks) Rackley. Gracie loved spending time with her family and friends and telling stories about her life. She loved going shopping and drinking her coffee and cokes. Gracie really looked forward to the holiday and being with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gracie could make the best meat-loaf! She also enjoyed looking at all her picture albums of family and friends. She loved her Lord and couldn't wait to meet Him.
Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, J. E. Rackley and Ruby Theile, one sister, Linda Byrne and her grandson, Jason Ludlam. She is survived by her children, Ron Askew and wife, Pam, Urich, Missouri, Doug Askew, Harrisonville, Missouri and Lori Ludlam, Allen, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Jemerson, Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Judy Gould and her husband, Walter, Little Rock, Arkansas and one brother, James Rackley and his wife, Linda, of Mississippi.
Gracie will always be in our hearts and will be missed by everyone.
