Goldie L Faught, 75, of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, with burial in Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville First Baptist Church.
Goldie was born November 30, 1939 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of Roy Elmer and Hazel Lorene (McElroy) James, Sr. She attended Harrisonville High School. Goldie married Montie Faught on June 2, 1956 at her parent's home, officiated by Brother Joe Brewster. She had worked at Wood Products Specialty in Harrisonville for 14 years. Goldie was a lifelong resident of Harrisonville. She was a member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Montie, of the home; two sons, Bob Faught (Denise), Wichita, Kansas and Mike Faught, Harrisonville, Missouri; one daughter, Pam Poland (Bruce), Raymore, Missouri; two brothers, Roy James, Jr., Warrensburg, Missouri and Lawrence James (Sheila), Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Patty Winchel (Don), Peculiar, Missouri and Kay James, Harrisonville, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
