Glinda Jean Sims, 59, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, officiated by Pastor George Geesee, Bethel Assembly of God, Garden City, MO. Burial was in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Music by Ronda Sweet. Casketbearers were Danny Roberts, Jeff Roberts, Darren Roberts, Josh Donegan, Jason Ekstrom and Mike Brizendine. Contributions may be made to the church.

Glinda was born May 21, 1947 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Ralph and Imogene (Hopkins) Anderson. She was a 1965 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She married Daniel H. Sims on September 30, 1964.

Glinda was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Garden City, MO. She was a homemaker. She was a life-long area resident.

Glinda was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Anderson and her stepfather, Jim Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Daniel, of the home; one son, Duane Sims, Bellevue, Nebraska; two daughters, Jeanna Catena and Joanna Brizendine, both of Harrisonville, MO; mother, Imogene Roberts, Harrisonville, MO; two brothers, Jim Roberts and Danny Roberts, both of Harrisonville, MO; one stepbrother, Johnny Anderson, Stockton, MO; three stepsisters, Dixie Harper, Kansas City, MO, Cathy Braden and Patti Wood, both of Collins, MO; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
