Glennie L. Carmichael, 85, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, MO. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial  in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs.

Glennie was born June 2, 1939 in Harrisonville, MO, a daughter of James and Natalie (Gustine) Stice. She lived in Cass County, primarily in Harrisonville, most of her life. She attended Hickory Grove Rural School #85 and Smith Rural School #73. Glennie was united in marriage to Harvey Ben Carmichael on October 19, 1956 at the home of Rev. Joe Brewster in Harrisonville. She was member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary #4409 in Harrisonville. Glennie loved dogs, and treated her two dachshunds, Misty and Sug, like family.

Glennie was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, on May 4, 1983; her parents; and three brothers: Norris Stice, Robert "Bob" Stice and infant brother, Jimmie Stice. She is survived by her two sons: Kevin Carmichael and his wife, Joanne, Grandview, MO; and Danny Carmichael, and his wife, Theresa Ryan, Raymore, MO; a sister, Patty Ring, Holden, MO; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
