Glenn King, 86, of Adrian, MO passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at KC Hospice House.  A memorial visitation was held on Monday, August 8, 2022  at  the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House.

Glenn was born on January 7, 1936 to Leroy King and Dora (Westendorff) King. He married Karen Kay Isham on April 7, 1978 in Belton MO. He lived his life behind the wheel of a truck and other large equipment as he worked many jobs as a driver, spending thirty years with Pitman Construction. When he was not at work his life revolved around his family and raising his three children, Raymond, Brenda and Doug. His other love was music. Glenn would play anything with strings and even at times played things without strings. He spent many Saturday evenings meeting up and playing music. He always enjoyed visiting with friends and family. As a pillar of the King family and extended family; his conversations and quick-witted advice will be greatly missed.

Glenn King was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; son-in-law, Rodger Cecil; and grandson, Eric King. He is survived by his wife, Karen King; his son, Raymond (Gayle) King; his daughter, Brenda Cecil; his son, Doug (Meghann) King; grandchildren: Amanda King (Nathan Hanson), Julie Ripplinger (Travis), Emma King, and Ethan King; great-grandchildren: Sophie, Edie, Brady, and Layla; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
