Obituary

Gladys L. Gibbons, 95, Hermitage, MO, formerly of Archie, MO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in Bolivar, MO. Funeral services 11:00 AM Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Victory Assembly of God, Adrian, MO. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Contributions may be made to the Bethel Assembly of God, Hermitage, MO.

Gladys was born November 15, 1912 in Providence City, TX, the daughter of Andrew Littleton and Mary Rose (Blaylock) Goldman. Gladys was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Hermitage, MO. Gladys was a simple woman but she was also royalty, a queen. While she was financially poor and an orphan most of her life, she was a spiritually wealthy person. It took little things to please her. She blossomed when shown the slightest kindness or simplest pleasures in life. She was serene, kind, gentle, loving and utterly devoted to God and her family. She earnestly read the bible and prayed with and for her children as they grew up and for each of their families. Gladys knew how to love with all of her being and sacrifice for her children came easily to her. Her greatest wish in life was to see all of her loved ones in heaven. While she will be missed greatly here on earth, she is now in the loving arms of her family members who passed before her, is joyfully by the side of her God, and waits with a loving heart for all those who will join her down the line.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Richard Schuetz and Merrill Schuetz and three brothers, Frank Goldman, Charles Andrew Goldman and George Goldman. She is survived by one son, David L. Schuetz and his wife, Pamela, Ruidoso, New Mexico; three daughters, Carol Reynolds and her husband, Gilbert, Hermitage, MO, Verna L. Roberts and her husband, Mervin, Harrisonville, MO and Jean A. Gibson, Russell, KS; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
