Geraldine Lucile Houchen, 71, Archie, Missouri, died February 26, 2019 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.  Funeral services were held  Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO.  Private burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO.

Geraldine was born on October 5, 1947 in Archie, MO, a daughter of Kenneth Gerald and Marybelle (Maddux) Wimsatt.  A lifelong resident of Archie, she was a 1965 graduate of Archie High School and a member of the Archie Christian Church.  Geraldine was united in marriage to Edgar Houchen on April 21, 1967 at the Archie Christian Church.  She worked at the Wimsatt's family restaurant "The Café" in Archie, and worked at Western Electric/AT&T in assembly for 21 years.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, and her stepson, Doug Houchen.  She is survived by her husband, Edgar, of the home; one son, Mark Houchen (Tanya), Archie, MO; two daughters, Debra Klick (Jim), Independence, MO, and Peggy Houchen (Angie), North Kansas City, MO; a brother, Donnie Wimsatt (Barbara), Archie, MO; a sister, Janice Harader, Butler, MO; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
