Obituary

Georgia Mae (Wilburn) Foote, 84, Archie, Missouri, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home in Adrian, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Archie with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Georgia was born January 13, 1929 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the daughter of George August and Mabel Theo (Ephland) Unnewehr. She grew up in the Lone Tree community and graduated from Archie High School in 1946. She became a Christian at an early age and was a devout Christian all of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archie at her death.

Georgia married Roy Wilburn, Jr. on June 5, 1948. To this union four children were born, Vicki, Terry, Christy and Randy. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm until his death in a car accident on October 10, 1969. Georgia married Donald Foote on November 27, 1971 and farmed with him until retirement in 1991 when they moved to Warsaw, Missouri. There they enjoyed fishing and socializing with their good neighbors and friends. When health issues became more prominent, Don and Georgia moved back to the Archie community to be near their families. Georgia moved to Adrian Manor Nursing Home on December 31, 2012 where she remained until her passing.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John and her sister, Margaret. She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home; two sons, Terry Wilburn and Randy Wilburn and his wife, Cheri, all of Archie, Missouri; two daughters, Vicki Yoakum, Topeka, Kansas and Christy Ogle and her husband, Clell, Archie, Missouri; two step-daughters, Jeannette Gwinn and her husband, David, Lone Jack, Missouri and Cindy Drury and her husband, Rick, Archie, Missouri; one brother, Fred Unnewehr; two sisters, Virginia Reeder and Betty Calhoon; 9 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
