George "Gene" Eugene Brewster, 89, Raymore, MO, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore.  Funeral services were held  Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar.,  Burial  in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Gene was born February 22, 1931 in Peculiar, MO, a son of Frank David and Mabel Lucile (Morris) Brewster.  He was a 1948 graduate of Harrisonville, Missouri High School.  Gene was a U. S. Army veteran, serving from 1953-1955.  He married Violet Terrell on August 22, 1959 in Miami, OK.  Gene was a life-long resident of Cass County.  He had lived in Peculiar from 1965-2016 before moving to Raymore in 2016.  Gene was an active member at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar.  He had worked for Waldo Foundation and B&B Foundation before retiring and was a member of Carpenters Local Union #61.

George was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Violet on December 19, 2016.  He is survived by four sons, Bradley Brewster (Yvonne), Peculiar, MO, Alan Brewster (Michele), Parkville, MO, Ellis Brewster (Denise), Liberty, MO, and David Corder (Cheryl), Ridge Manor, FL; one daughter, Canda Johnson (Paul), Marshfield, MO; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
