George Edward "Eddie" Rusow, Jr., 75, Peculiar, MO, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home.  Memorial services were held Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO.

Eddie was born June 21, 1944 in Merced, CA, a son of George and Oma Lee (Gillis) Rusow, Sr.  He was a 1962 graduate of Adrian High School and had lived in Adrian and Kansas City, MO before moving to Peculiar in 1979.  He married Virginia Monteer on April 4, 1964 in Adrian.

After high school, Eddie worked for Bekins Moving Company for several years before going to work for General Motors. He worked at the Fairfax plant, for 35 years before retiring in 1998.  He was a member of the UAW Local #31.  Eddie loved hunting, fishing, camping,  and  traveling with family. Eddie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Edward Rusow.  He is survived his wife of 55 years, Virginia, of the home; one son, Jeremy Rusow (Nichole), Archie, MO; two daughters, Carla Hawkins (Mark), Archie and Patricia Brewer (John), Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Jerry Rusow, Adrian; one sister, Linda Moss (Shelby), Warsaw, MO; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
