George Frederick Bremer, 86, Peculiar, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.  Funeral services were held  Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Cornerstone Chapel in Peculiar with burial in Peculiar Cemetery.    Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

George was born November 24, 1933 in Harrisonville, MO, a son of John J. and Blanche (Urton) Bremer.  He was a 1951 graduate of Peculiar High School.  George was drafted into the Army during the Korean War, serving two years and was honorably discharged.  George was employed at Missouri Gas Energy for 35 years, retiring in 1992.  He continued to farm until retirement from the farm in 2004.

He was united in marriage to Maxine Faye Mucke on October 19, 1957, a happy union that lasted over 62 years.  Four children were born to this union:  Brett Bremer (Robyn), Smithton, MO, Brad Bremer, Peculiar, MO, Brenda Bremer, Peculiar, and Brian Bremer (Lona), Lee's Summit, MO.  The next generation of 10 grandchildren and the last group of 13 great-grandchildren have been a happy time in George and Maxine's life.

George was preceded in death by his parents, John and Blanche Bremer; a brother, Jon P. Bremer; and a sister-in-law, Darlys Bremer.
