Gary Albert Jennings, 63, Peculiar, MO, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar.


Gary was born December 7, 1944 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Albert Woodrow and Geneva Ann (Beth) Jennings. He married Flora Jane Jensen on June 7, 1978 in Loose Park, Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of Ruskin High School. He was a life-long area resident.

Mr. Jennings worked for General Motors for 30 years, working at the Leeds Plant in Kansas City and in Lordstown, Ohio, before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the UAW Local #1112.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Janie, of the home; daughter, Ronni S. Kalwei, Harrisonville, MO; stepson, Abel Cervantes, Corpus Christi, TX; two grandchildren, Shea Ann Kalwei, Harrisonville, MO and Joshua L. Shaw, Raymore, MO and two step-grandchildren, Thomas Cervantes and Lucas Cervantes, both of Corpus Christi, TX.
