Fred Ray Lett, 73, Archie, Missouri, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Archie United Methodist Church with inurnment in Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, Missouri. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Archie.

Fred was born August 23, 1941 in Noel, Missouri, the son of Donald Richard and Nora Elizabeth (Redfearn) Lett. He married Linda Powell on August 21, 1965 in Drexel, Missouri. He retired from Teamsters Local #41. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Archie. Fred was a retired U.S. Army veteran with the paratroopers of the 82nd airborne.

Fred and Linda spent their winters in Texas. He loved being a grandparent and being involved in their activities. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Brandon Lett and one sister, Dorothy Yearsley. He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; one son, Trent Lett; one daughter, Shannon Wymore (Mike), all of Archie, Missouri; one sister, Betty Wheeler, Drexel, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Reagan, Brayden and Riley Lett, Whitney and Kendall Wymore; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
