Franklin "Frank" D. Andrews, 73, of Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Cremation. Memorial contributions may be made to Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation, 2800 East Rock Haven Road, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Frank was born July 12, 1936 in Vian, OK, the son of Sidney Murel and Gladys Viola (Mills) Andrews. He grew up in Vian and graduated from Vian High School. He received his Bachelors of Science in Math and Physics from Northern Illinois University. He was the first of his family to graduate college. On June 19, 1970 he was united in marriage to Sandra Coble Hartzler.

Frank worked as a Financial Advisor for BMA Financial Services. He worked for 17 years at Anaconda Wire & Cable and had also worked as a real estate broker and appraiser. Frank was a member of Board of Trustee for the Cass County Information Center, a former President of the Harrisonville Athletic Booster Club, President of Southwood Road Association and a former member of the Shrine Club and Kiwanis.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Maurice Anderson, Jack Anderson, Dan Andrews and Buddy Andrews and 2 sisters, Ruby Madorin and Marie Slaughter. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Andrews of the home; 5 sons, Eric Andrews of Lee's Summit, MO, Randy Hartzler of Kearney, MO, Doug Hartzler of Boerne, TX, Greg Andrews of Raytown, MO and Gary Andrews of Raytown, MO; 5 brothers, David Andrews, Tulare, CA, Allen Andrews, Vian, OK, Murel Andrews, Las Cruces, NM, Bill Andrews, Shirtz, TX and Clarence Andrews, Vian, OK and 10 grandchildren, Shane Hartzler, Jenni Hartzler, Morgan Hartzler, Jessi Hartzler, Elizabeth Hartzler, Sam Hartzler, Molly Andrews, Eliza Andrews, Jeremy Andrews and Caylee Andrews.
