Francis "Frank" Jewell Garrett, Jr., 49 of Garden City, MO died Friday, August 20, 2010 in Garden City. A gathering of friends will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 27 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with graveside services at 11:00 a.m. at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.

Frank was born July 9, 1961 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Francis Jewell and Bonnie S. (Dempsey) Garrett. He grew up in Freeman, MO and was a graduate of Midway High School. He had lived in Garden City for the last year.

Frank was a union carpenter and a member of Local No. 777. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club in Lee's Summit, MO. He also loved to go fishing.

Frank is survived by his mother, Bonnie Garrett of Harrisonville, MO and his father, Francis; one stepson, David Fields and his ex-wife, Nancy Garrett, both of Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Carl D. Garrett of Appleton City, MO; one niece, Kori Garrett and 2 step-grandchildren.
