Frances "Brownie" Lunceford, 82, Harrisonville, Missouri died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Benchmark Healthcare in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. Burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Frances was born April 6, 1929 in Harrisonville, MO, one of 12 children, to Arbra Milford and Beulah Lee (Fields) McGee. She was a graduate of Harrisonville High School. She married Virgil Lunceford on June 20, 1974 in Independence, MO. She was a homemaker and a life-long resident of Harrisonville.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Virgie, Iva and Velma and four brothers, Elmer, Charles, George and Jim. She is survived by her husband, Virgil, of the home; two sons, Howard Knox, Blue Springs, MO and Gene Knox, Lee's Summit, MO; one daughter, Lanabeth Horgen, Bellevue, WA; one brother, Bob McGee, Harrisonville, MO, one sister, Bette Durbin, Lompoc, CA; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and nieces and nephews.
