Frances Louise Cearley, 96, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at her home. Graveside services 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Frances was born January 24, 1921 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer Edwin and Gertrude Jane (Hays) Seidelman. She grew up in the Rosedale community and was a graduate of Rosedale High School. While in high school, she played basketball and was a member of the high school band, playing the piccolo.
Frances married William "Bill" H. Cearley on January 27, 1943 in Kansas City, MO. Frances moved to Harrisonville in 1938 and had lived in Overland Park, KS for 35 years before moving back to Harrisonville. She was a Methodist.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill, on March 18, 2002. She is survived by one son, Rick Cearley, Harrisonville, MO; one daughter, Marilyn Pugh, Las Cruces, NM; two grandsons, Matt Pugh, Olathe, KS and Eric Pugh, Las Cruces, NM, and 3 great-grandchildren, Sydney Pugh, Dylan Pugh, and Felicia Pugh.
