Florence Lee, 91, Holden, Missouri, formerly of the Kansas City area died Friday, July 31, 2009 at Holden Manor, Holden, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee's Summit, MO. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday at the chapel. Contributions to Crossroads Hospice. Florence was born December 3, 1917 in Crab Orchid, Kentucky, a daughter of Henry and Rose (Arnold) Lunsford. She was united in marriage to Jesse Lee on June 16, 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Kingsville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Jesse, three sons, Gregg Lee, Lowell Lee, and Michael Lee, and a daughter, Beverly Lee. She is survived by four sons, Jerry Lee, Kansas City, MO, Lloyd Lee ,Grain Valley, MO, Thomas Lee, Pleasant Hill, MO, and Beryel Lee, Lee's Summit, MO. Seven daughters, Gwen Hix, Warrensburg, MO, Linda Mitchell, Harrisonville, MO, Judy Cline, Peculiar, MO, Joy Benson, Warrensburg, MO, Carol Myers, Blue Springs, MO, Jackie Casey, Grandview, MO, and Donna Haller, Blue Springs, MO. Four sisters, Juanita Lee, Clinton, MO, Melva Peterson, Wichita, KS, Lena Mae Frei, Las Vegas, NV, and Anna Lou Brinkman, Gower ,MO. 26 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
