Flora Jane "Janie" Jennings, 72, Peculiar, MO, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO with burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar, MO.

Janie was born May 8, 1945 in Peculiar, MO, the daughter of Thomas Charles and Minnie Marin (Markham) Jensen. She was a lifelong resident of Peculiar. Janie married Gary Albert Jennings on June 7, 1978 in Loose Park, Kansas City, MO. She was a member of Coleman Baptist Church in Peculiar and had attended Raymore First Baptist Church.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary on June 4, 2008, one daughter, Ronnie Kalwei, one sister, Lydia Linn, two brothers, Clifton Milam and T. C. Jensen, and her ex-husband, Abel Cervantes.

She is survived by one son, Rick Cervantes and wife, Julie, Austin, TX; four sisters, Bessie Hartshorn, CA, Wilma Butler, Butler, MO, Frances Lawrence, Butler, MO, Bonnie Miller and husband, Jerry, Harrisonville, MO; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Cervantes and Lucas Cervantes, Joshua Shaw and wife, Erin, and Shea Kalwei; 8 great-grandchildren, Anna, Thomas G., Sophia, Thatcher, Ethan, Payton, Bentley, and Kayden; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Carrington.
