Everett Leon Timbers, 79 of Warrensburg, MO, formerly of Archie, MO, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 at the Atkinson Chapel in Archie, MO with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Newton Burial Park in Nevada, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, c/o Jan Smith, 1300 Veterans Road, Warrensburg, MO 64093.
Everett was born July 12, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Wesley and Irene (Roberts) Timbers. He married Neva F. Reedy on May 27, 1955. Everett owned Archie Painting Company for 25 years and was a member of the Painters Union for 50 years. He attended the Archie United Methodist Church. Everett was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Everett was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Lucille Smith and Mary Timbers. He is survived by his wife, Neva Timbers; three sons, Kerry L. Timbers of Newton, MA, Vincent L. Timbers and his wife, Patricia of State College, PA and Kevin L. Timbers and his wife, Rebecca of Warrensburg, MO; his mother, Irene Timbers Hackney of Nevada, MO; one sister, Louise Stacy of Nevada, MO; two brothers, Donald Timbers of Sedalia, MO and James Hackney and his wife, Melanie of Nevada, MO and three grandchildren, Sarah, Ben and Sam Timbers.
