Evelyn Mae Uhrich, 93, Harrisonville, MO, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 14 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Graveside services will be in held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15 at Evergreen Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
Evelyn was born November 22, 1923 in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Hurley) Huffman. She was a graduate of Grand Island High School. She married Edward Uhrich on June 12, 1948. Evelyn lived in Grand Island until moving to Omaha in 1950. She worked as a patient assist line operator at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha before moving to Harrisonville, MO in 1996. Evelyn was a former member of the Daughters of the Nile with the Tangier Shrine Temple in Omaha.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward on June 9, 1990, one brother, Charles Loyal Huffman, and one sister, Juanita Huffman Reese. She is survived by two daughters, Karron L. Smith (Alfred), Albuquerque, NM, and Debbie Poulson, Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Jerry Boehm (Myrna), Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Chikako Huffman, Lincoln, NE; 2 grandchildren, Sarah Poulson (Chad Hays), East Lynne, MO and Charles Poulson (Kimberly), Holden, MO, and 1 great-grandchild, Hadley Poulson.
