Eva Mae Colson, age 97 of Adrian, MO died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Adrian Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Adrian with visitation at 1:00 at the chapel. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian. Eva was born May 29, 1912 to Bert Ernest and Lula (Frisbee) Coates in Cannon City, Colorado. She spent her childhood on a farm in rural Adrian. She was united in marriage to Dr. Dwight Colson in 1958 and they made their home in Adrian, MO. She assisted her husband, Dr. Colson, with their family practice. Eva loved to quilt, garden, feed the birds, and spend time with family. She attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Adrian, MO for many years.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters. She is survived by her sister, Alene McCanles of Adrian, a number of nieces and nephews and a step-grandson.
