Eugene "Gene" Moss Breaux, 72, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with burial in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.

Gene was born October 14, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Andrew and Ethel (Lewis) Breaux, where he lived a full and happy life. He was a 1961 graduate of De La Salle High School in New Orleans and served several years in the U. S. Army. Gene worked in the marine sales industry for 40+ years. He married Janet Forkel on November 19, 1980 in New Orleans. They retired to Harrisonville in 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; one son, Eugene "Gene" Breaux, Jr. and wife, Marian; stepson, Kerry Sisk and wife, Kim; sisters-in-law, Tina Torres and husband, Julio, and Ann Hurst and husband, Steve; brother-in-law, Theo Reeves and wife, Dottie; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Andrew Breaux, Jr., and a step-son, Jerry Sisk.

Gene was a great person who did not know a stranger and could always make you smile. He will be missed by his loving family members and many, many friends.
