Ernest "Ernie" Marble, 72, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Dolan-West Dolan Fire Station, 8012 West 8th, Freeman, MO.

Ernie was born on August 24, 1953, in Harrisonville, MO, a son of Carlton and Edna (Pemberton) Marble, Sr. He was a lifelong Harrisonville resident and a 1971 graduate of Harrisonville High School. After high school, Ernie joined the US Air Force, serving his country working in aircraft maintenance.

Ernie was united in marriage to Dixie Lee Flickinger on September 21, 1984, in Harrisonville. Together, they made their home at the edge of town where Ernie could garden and raise his goats. He worked for Walmart over 20 years as a service technician before his retirement.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister. He is survived by his wife, Dixie, of Harrisonville, MO; three sons: Ernie Marble, Jr. and wife, Shanna, of Dumas, Texas; James "Jamie" Bettes and wife, Brandi, of Evansville, Indiana; and Jason Honderick and wife, Ginger, of Freeman, MO; a daughter, Tamie Getman, of Dumas, TX; two brothers: Carlton Marble, Jr., of Harrisonville, MO; and Roger Marble and wife, Joyce, of Garden City, MO; a sister, Barbara Roach, of Harrisonville. MO; a brother-in-law, Lloy Flickinger and wife, Sandy, of Clearlake, Iowa; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
