Ernest "Ernie" Loyd Wilson, 66, Harrisonville, MO, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home.  Memorial services were held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville.   Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Ernie was born November 22, 1951 in North Kansas City, MO, the son of Gule Elson and Nancy Blanche (Galloway) Wilson.  He married Susan Elaine Dickerson on February 21, 1976 at the Coleman Baptist Church in Peculiar, MO. He was a lifelong Cass County resident.  Ernie worked in service and sales for Burris Ford, Royal-Chrysler-Plymouth, and Boots Williams Ford.  Ernie also owned and operated Wilson Backhoe Service.  After retiring, he worked as a greeter for Harrisonville Wal-Mart.  He loved cars and adored his grandkids.

Ernie was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Jewel "Benji" Wilson.  He is survived by his wife, Susan, Harrisonville, MO; three sons, Ernie Wilson, Jr., Harrisonville, Tommy Wilson, Butler, MO, and Michael Wilson, Harrisonville; and 8 grandchildren.
