Ernest F. Diamond, 84, Peculiar, MO, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the First Baptist Church in Belton, MO with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Inurnment will be held in West Union Cemetery in Cleveland, MO. Contributions may be made to Heartland Christian School, 810 South Cedar, Belton, MO 64012.
Ernest was born June 16, 1932 in Belton, MO, the son of Bernie Lee and Surepta Elzina (Douglas) Diamond. He was a graduate of Freeman High School. Ernest was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the U. S. Post Office in Belton, where he worked as a postal clerk.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Orville, Robert, Richard, Jim and Raymond. He is survived by two brothers, Frank Diamond (Nancy), Adrian, MO and Ray Diamond (Coleen), Liberty, MO; two sisters-in-law, Goldie Diamond, Peculiar, MO and Sally Diamond, Lee's Summit, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Ernest was a beloved brother and uncle whom will be greatly missed.
