Elwanda Wilkins, 83, Chillicothe, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Missouri Baptist Home in Chillicothe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Holden, Missouri.

Elwanda was born December 1, 1931 in Lamar, Arkansas, the daughter of Roy Harley and Maggie Jane (Crotts) Wilkins. She had lived in Harrisonville before moving to the Baptist Home in Chillicothe in 1997. She was a former member of Harrisonville First Baptist Church and was a current member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Elwanda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Kiftene "Cliff" Wilkins. She is survived by her sister, Norma McCoy (Ben), Colona, Illinois; three nieces, Danine Glascock, Silvis, Illinois, Linda Wilkins, Ballwin, Missouri, and Rhonda Davis, Belton, Missouri; one nephew, Lee J. McCoy, East Moline, Illinois.
