Elizabeth "Beth" (Estes) Steed, 32, Overland Park, KS, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville, MO. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 10 at the chapel. Burial will be in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
Beth was born on May 20, 1978 in Columbia, Maryland. She is the daughter of Keith Allan Estes and Amanda Naomi (Freeman) Wigginton. She was a 1996 graduate of Lee's Summit High School and graduated from the Wright Business School in 2009. Beth loved being a mother and dearly loved spending time with each of her three children. She loved being near the ocean and enjoyed walking on the beach with her husband. St. Augustine, Florida was one of her favorite places. Another past-time she enjoyed was belly dancing. Family and friends were very important to Beth and she loved spending time with each of them.
Beth was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Randolph Stuart Freeman, Sr. and her paternal grandfather Alison David Campbell. She is survived by her husband, Jason Ray Steed of the home; Three children; Zane Taylor Donaldson, Isaac Nicholas Steed, and Marlayna Raye Steed all of the home; her mother and stepfather, Amanda and Russell David Wigginton of Kingsville, MO; Her father, Keith Allan Estes of Kansas City, MO; her brother, Seth Michael Estes and his fiancé, Ambrosa Elaine Rinker, both of Harrisonville, MO; her maternal grandmother, Betty Anne Freeman of Kingsville, MO and paternal grandmother, Loretta A. Campbell of Lynchburg, VA; a stepmother, Susie Estes; Six aunts; Ruth Anne Hull, Laura Maxfield, Debra Campbell-Nagel, Rebecca Dinneny, Susan DePhillip and Cathy Kathan; Five uncles; Randy Freeman, Jr., Carl Estes, David Campbell, Michael Campbell and Bryan Campbell, a niece, a nephew; many cousins, and many many exceptional and very special friends of whom three very close friends, Sarah Hall, Christine Deboe, and Chris Deboe.
Contributions may be made to the Beth Steed Memorial Fund established for her children in care of the Atkinson Chapel Funeral home in Harrisonville, Missouri.
