Elizabeth Ann (Gantz) Saubers, Betty, to her friends and loved ones, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2007 at the Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, MO at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 25 days. Funeral services were held Monday, November 5, 2007 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Butler, MO. Burial was in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Contributions may be made to the Adrian Manor for the medical transport van.
Betty was born January 7, 1925 in Glenrock, Wyoming, the daughter of DeLloyd Eugene and Laura Venora (Isaacs) Gantz. After graduation from Holton, Kansas High School, Betty resided in Washington, D.C., where she met and married the love of her life, Louis (Lou) Nicholas Saubers on March 16, 1944 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Betty was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook and bake and travel.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn Jean Ward, three brothers, George Frederick Gantz, DeLloyd Eugene Gantz and Raymond Duanne Gantz; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Eugene Gibson, Dewey and a son-in law, Paul Alan Gregg. Betty is survived by her husband, Louis Nicholas Saubers, of the home; a sister, Dora Charlene Gibson, Dewey, OK; two daughters, Carol Jean Gregg, Adrian, MO; Lou Ann Nichols and her husband, Glenn, Magnolia, TX; one son, Louis Nicholas (Nick) Saubers, Jr. and his wife, Susan Diane, Adrian, MO; five grandchildren, Thomas Clay and Alice Kay Gregg, Adrian, MO; Louis Nicholas Saubers, III, St. Charles, MO; Emily Ann (Nichols) and Alton Murray Baker III, Tomball, TX; Benjamin Lee Saubers, Passsaic, MO; Hallie Nichole (Miller) and Lance Albert Burris, Overland Park, KS; and three great-grandchildren, Thomas Matthew Gregg, Phillip Alan Gregg and Samuel Clay Gregg, Adrian, MO; her little buddies and many other relatives and friends.
