Eleanor Eugene Stutzman (nee Resch), a resident of Adrian, MO, died at Bates County Memorial Hospital, Sunday, October 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20 at the Victory Assembly of God in Adrian with visitation from 1:00-2:00, under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian, MO. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.

Eleanor was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, joining her father Vernon C Resch, her mother Mildred Resch, and her son David K Stutzman, who preceded her in death. Eleanor was married to Thomas R Stutzman on September 7, 1962. For a time she ran and operated a sewing shop, "Eleanor's Alterations and Custom Sewing Shop," in Harrisonville MO, until she retired. She was a master seamstress. She also knitted and quilted.

Eleanor was a baptized believer and a member of Victory Assembly of God. She grew up in Fremont, Nebraska until her family moved to Hanover, Kansas, after her sophomore year. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1960. She was a past member of the Adrian Lions Club and a past member of the Grandview Women Jaycees where she held many club offices.

Eleanor is survived by her husband, Thomas, of the home; 3 sons, Patrick Stutzman and his wife, Michelle and their daughters, Alex and Rebecca, of Independence, MO, and Nathan Thomas Stutzman and Stephen Matthew Stutzman of Grandview, MO; and a grandson, David Q. Stutzman, and many nieces and nephews.
