Obituary

Eleanor "Ellie" Rita Stobaugh, 84, Butler, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at The Village House at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 25 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Butler, Missouri with Rosary at 2:45. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Ellie was born January 23, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of George F. and Mary G. (Riley) Flynn. She married Weldon Stobaugh on April 15, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. She lived in Bowling Green, Missouri for 15 years before moving to Butler.

Ellie worked as a bookkeeper for Meyer Farm Implement in Bowling Green for 10 years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality, serving as secretary for five years, Progressive Ladies Extension Club, past president and past secretary, and past member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Ellie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Weldon Stobaugh, on May 14, 1995. She is survived by her children, Richard Stobaugh and his wife, Donna, Debbie Connelly and her husband, Donald, and Donna Smith; four grandchildren, Amanda Little and her husband, Michael, Kristin Ballard and her husband, Daniel, Ryan Stobaugh and his wife, Shawna, and Aaron Stobaugh, and four great-grandchildren, Nolan Little, Benjamin Little, Siri Stobaugh, and Noah Ballard.
