Obituary

Elaine Mae Ellis, 77 of Chillicothe, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Missouri Baptist Home in Chillicothe, after battling Parkinson's Disease and heart disease. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the First Baptist Church, 1601 Bryan Street, Chillicothe, MO 64601 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.

Elaine was born Elaine Mae Wiecken in rural Morgan County, MO. During her 59 years of marriage to Lee Melvin Ellis, she lived most of her married life in Harrisonville, MO. At her death, she was living at The Baptist Home in Chillicothe, MO.

Elaine was preceded in death by her eldest son, David Ellis, her parents, George & Elva Wiecken, her brother, Maynard Wiecken and her sister, Marjorie Cooper. Being remembered as a loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Lee Ellis and three sons with their wives, Michael Ellis and wife, Brenda of Kansas City, MO, Ronald Ellis and wife, Angela of Littleton, CO and Stanley Ellis and wife, Kelley of Barrington, NH. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Danielle Brentlinger and husband, Patrick of Shelton, CT, Shauna Storey and husband, Ryan of Springfield, MO, David Ellis of Ft. Collins, CO, Rachel Ellis of Littleton, CO; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aeriana, Isabel and Liam Brentlinger of Shelton, CT and numerous nieces and nephews.
