Mr. McHugh was born on August 15, 1925 in the Town of Emmet, Wisconsin to Thomas Edward and Josephine (Streveler) McHugh. He was a very religious and hard working man. Ed helped on the farm at a very early age and continued his hard work ethic as a manufacturing employee for Allis-Chalmers. His diligent work and excellent management skills earned him a well-deserved superintendent position that he was very proud of. After 43 years of work he retired in 1987.
In his retirement, he enjoyed many of the hobbies he had learned to love. He spent most of his time outside, whether it was the time he spent on his bicycle rides, daily walks, bird watching, or just enjoying nature. Mr. McHugh never missed a religious mass. Religion was very important to him and it is apparent in his many involvements including, Knights of Columbus, a Senior Mass Server, and part of the Lay Ministry. Edwin McHugh valued his time with family and always stuck to his strong morals. He was a man of great character. His positive attitude, loyalty, and ethics were really something to look up to. He was the kind of guy that could put a smile on your face no matter your mood.
His parents, two brothers, and two sisters preceded Edwin in death. He is survived by his wife, Marion; two sons, Thomas McHugh, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Michael McHugh, Overland Park, Kansas; a daughter, Kathleen Faulks, Spring Valley, Ohio; a son-in-law; two daughters-in-law and six grandchildren.
