Edna Lucille Osborn, 87 of Archie, MO died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Atkinson Chapel in Archie. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Edna was born May 21, 1922 in Everett, MO, the daughter of Ernest Edward and Etta Mae (Blake) Goddard. She married Billy J. Osborn on September 14, 1957 in Archie, MO.

Edna lived in Kansas City, MO from 1957-1976 before moving to their farm in Archie in 1976. She had worked as a meat wrapper for Kroger Grocery in Kansas City for 10 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed canning, making her famous apple butter and helping out on the farm.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Osborn, of the home; one daughter, Betty Wellington, Harrisonville, MO; one brother, Norman R. "Bud" Goddard, Harrisonville, MO; one sister, Opal Hawkins, Harrisonville, MO; two granddaughters and four great-grandsons.
